Larapinta got a head start on the polo season this year traveling south to partake in the NSW Autumn circuit. With Balfour Irvine (-1) playing in pole position, he had the talented horsemen Tom Hunt (6) and Andrew Williams (3) from Jemalong backing him up. Mikey and Katie Irvine had to prove their value as 0 goals with Mikey joining the team at Ellerston and Kate at Garangular. Katie proved to be the key to bringing home the trophy in the Garangular 8 goal final against Glen Miln.
Mikey had a redemistion in Larapinta shirts playing alongside Tom Hunt (6), Glen Gilmore (6) and Sam Stott (2) in the 14 goal Countess of Dudley Cup hosted at Ellerston. Playing against Killarney it was a nail-biting final with the final score 7-6 with the victory secured in the final minute with a cracking goal from Glen.
