Last season kicked off with the inaugural Larapinta Cup which we partnered with McKinney’s Jewellers and the Courier Mail to host 1350 people at Larapinta Equestrian. The McKinney’s Charity cup was a fun filled day out, with exhibition matches, raffles, fashions on the field, the traditional ‘Stomping Of The Divots’ and of course the main attraction, the 6 goal final.
With media sponsor Nova providing the entertainment, the event was MC’d by Chris Reid. The event raised $38,145 for The Courier-Mail Children’s Fund, this will go a long way to help Queensland kids in need.
Larapinta Blue took out the 2-goal final with McKinney’s team (Action Metal) bringing home the 6-goal McKinneys Larapinta Cup.
